The verdict

La Datcha is the first hull of Damen’s SeaXplorer 77 series, a 77-metre ice-classed explorer delivered in 2020 and built to fly two helicopters for heli-skiing. Brokers list her from $750,000 a week, plus expenses on most listings, for 12 guests in six cabins. Her charter pattern is Antarctica from October and northern waters such as Greenland and Norway in the northern summer. She suits groups who want helicopters, diving and a submersible in remote places rather than a Mediterranean marina season.

What it costs

$750,000 per week + expensesSummer

Base charter fee per week: from $750,000 in both seasons; high-season weeks are quoted on request. Expenses are charged on top: usually an advance provisioning allowance (APA, a deposit for fuel, food and berthing), VAT and crew tips. The typical amount for La Datcha isn’t published, and Fraser lists the helicopter and submersible packages as optional extras. One listing with South Pacific and Asia areas shows a lower, undated $630,000. At her charter launch in July 2020 Robb Report put the rate at $850,000 a week (Robb Report, 27 Jul 2020).

Questions

How much does it cost to charter La Datcha?
From $750,000 per week plus expenses, for both summer and winter (YachtCharterFleet). CharterIndex lists the same $750,000 for summer 2026 and winter 2026/27, and Fraser gives it as a “from” rate. High-season weeks are on request. Expenses such as fuel, food, berthing, VAT and crew tips are charged on top; the typical amount for this yacht isn’t published.
Can you charter La Datcha in Antarctica?
Yes. Antarctica is her listed winter area, October to March or April (Fraser; YachtCharterFleet). Damen describes her as built to carry two helicopters, with a certified helideck, a standby deck and a below-deck hangar, for heli-skiing (Damen names the Kuril Islands, Kamchatka, Chukotka and Alaska) (Damen Yachting). In the northern summer brokers list Greenland and Norway (Fraser; YachtCharterFleet).
How many guests and crew does La Datcha have?
Twelve guests in six cabins (YachtCharterFleet). Crew numbers differ by source: the shipyard gives 19 plus the captain (Damen Yachting), YachtCharterFleet 18, and Fraser 25, a figure Boat International says includes guides and pilots.
Does La Datcha have a submarine and helicopters?
Yes. She is listed with a three-person Triton submersible (Fraser; YachtBuyer) and is set up for two helicopters with a hangar below deck (Damen Yachting). Fraser lists both the helicopter and the submersible as optional packages on charter, so check with the broker whether they are included in a given quote.
Where is La Datcha yacht now?
We don’t publish positions. Use a public AIS tracker such as VesselFinder or MarineTraffic and match the length (77 m) and build year (2020): a 28 m Pershing from 2019 shares the name (YachtCharterFleet). Her listed pattern is Antarctica in winter and Greenland or Norway in summer (Fraser).
Is La Datcha for sale?
Not as far as published sources show. YachtBuyer lists her as not for sale, and she is marketed for charter by Fraser and on YachtCharterFleet.
