The verdict

Tatoosh is a 92-metre Nobiskrug built in 2000, with two helipads, a heated rising-floor pool and a Terence Disdale interior refreshed in 2023. Fraser lists her from €950,000 a week in summer (Fraser); the winter rate is on request. She takes 12 guests in 11 cabins with a crew of 31, so she suits large families and groups who want a lot of space. Several charter sites now list her as private, so check her status with a broker first.

Questions

How much does it cost to charter Tatoosh?
Fraser lists Tatoosh from €950,000 per week in summer (April–September); the winter rate is on request (Fraser). Boat International reported the same €950,000 starting rate in September 2023. Charter expenses such as provisioning, fuel, berthing, VAT and crew tips are normally charged on top; the typical amount for Tatoosh isn’t published.
Can you still charter Tatoosh?
Possibly, but check first. Fraser lists her for charter with a summer rate, but YachtCharterFleet, CharterIndex and Ocean Independence show her as a private yacht not available for charter (as of October 2026). She was sold in November 2022 (Boat International) and rejoined the charter fleet with Fraser in March 2023 (Boat International). A charter broker can confirm whether she takes bookings for your dates; charter.ly does not take bookings.
How many guests does Tatoosh sleep?
For charter, 12 guests in 11 cabins, with a crew of 31 (Fraser; Boat International). Other listings give up to 19 or 20 guests in 9 or 10 cabins and a crew of 35 (Boat International directory; YachtCharterFleet).
What happened with Tatoosh and the coral reef in the Cayman Islands?
In January 2016 the anchor chain of Tatoosh damaged roughly 14,000 square feet (about 1,300 square metres) of coral in the West Bay Replenishment Zone off Grand Cayman, a marine reserve; an initial survey found that more than 80% of the coral in that area was destroyed (Dockwalk, Jan 2016). In October 2016 the yacht’s ownership company and the Cayman Islands Government agreed a compensation settlement of an undisclosed amount, which also covers a permanent mooring at Seven Mile Beach Park, with no acceptance of fault on either side (Cayman News Service, Oct 2016). The yacht changed hands in 2022 (Boat International).
How much is Tatoosh worth?
No sale price has been published. Before her sale in November 2022 she was listed by Fraser and Burgess with an asking price of €90,000,000 (Boat International, 3 Nov 2022). An asking price is not the price paid.
Where is Tatoosh now?
We don’t publish positions. Use a public AIS tracker such as VesselFinder or MarineTraffic and match the length (92 m) and build year (2000), as other vessels share the name. Her listed summer cruising area is the Mediterranean (Ocean Independence).
