The verdict

Renaissance is a 112 m motor yacht of 7,200 gross tonnage that Freire delivered in 2023 to a design by Bannenberg & Rowell (Freire Shipyard). Her rate starts at €3,000,000 a week plus expenses and rises to €4,000,000 in the summer peak (CharterIndex), so she sits with Kismet just below Breakthrough among the most expensive yachts for charter (Boat International, June 2026). What sets her apart is capacity: she is certified for 36 guests in 19 cabins, where most charter yachts are limited to 12 (Northrop & Johnson; YachtCharterFleet). That suits large family gatherings, corporate groups and events, the uses YachtCharterFleet recommends her for (YachtCharterFleet).

Questions

How much does it cost to charter the Renaissance yacht?
The base rate is €3,000,000 a week off-peak, up to €4,000,000 in the Mediterranean summer peak (2026) and €3,750,000 in the Caribbean winter peak (2026/27), plus all expenses (CharterIndex). YachtCharterFleet and the central agent Burgess give the same figures. At launch in July 2023 the range was €3,000,000–3,500,000 (Burgess). Expenses such as fuel, food, berthing, VAT and crew tips are charged on top; the typical amount for Renaissance isn’t published.
Can you charter Renaissance, and who handles it?
Yes. She joined the Burgess charter fleet when she was delivered, announced on 26 July 2023 (Burgess), and Burgess still lists her with summer and winter rates (Burgess). Bookings go through a charter broker; charter.ly is a review site and does not take bookings.
How many guests can Renaissance take?
Thirty-six, in 19 cabins: 15 doubles and 4 that convert between double and twin (YachtCharterFleet). She is built to the Passenger Yacht Code (Boat International), which is what allows more than the 12 guests most charter yachts are limited to (Northrop & Johnson). The shipyard gives a crew of 44 (Freire Shipyard); YachtCharterFleet and Burgess list 45.
What is on board Renaissance?
A double-height dining saloon, a private owner’s deck, a main-deck pool, a beach club and a spa deck with a gym, hot and cold plunge pools, steam room, sauna, treatment rooms and a hair and beauty salon (Boat International, July 2023). Boat International’s feature adds indoor and outdoor cinemas, a business centre and an outdoor commercial pizza oven (Boat International). The bow is a certified helipad, and the beach club measures 332 m² (Freire Shipyard).
Where is the Renaissance yacht now?
We don’t publish positions. Check a public AIS tracker such as VesselFinder. Several yachts share the name, including a 35 m Hargrave (Boat International), so match the length (112 m) and build year (2023). Her charter pattern is the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean and Bahamas in winter (CharterIndex).
Who built Renaissance?
Freire Shipyard in Vigo, Spain, as hull 724; she is the largest and highest-tonnage yacht built in Spain (Freire Shipyard, July 2023). The exterior and interior are by Bannenberg & Rowell Design (Freire Shipyard). According to Boat International, the owner says Jon Bannenberg designed a yacht for him in 1987 that was never built (Dickie Bannenberg, who now leads the studio, describes it as a “rather more compact 42-metre”), and that he teamed up with Dickie about ten years ago for Renaissance (Boat International).
