From the press

I size up the side deck, which is more like a promenade deck on a cruise ship than a private yacht.

What it costs

€3,000,000 per week + expensesSummer

Base charter fee per week. Expenses are charged on top: usually an advance provisioning allowance (APA, a deposit for fuel, food and berthing), VAT and crew tips. The typical amount for Kismet isn’t published. The base fee is 3 million a week wherever it is quoted, but the currency varies: euros for the Mediterranean summer, US dollars for the winter season and in some lists and reports.

Questions

How much does it cost to charter Kismet?
The base rate is €3,000,000 per week in the Mediterranean summer and $3,000,000 per week in winter, plus expenses (YachtCharterFleet). CharterIndex lists the same €3,000,000 for summer 2026, and Boat International quoted it at delivery in May 2024. Expenses such as fuel, food, berthing, VAT and crew tips are charged on top; the typical amount for Kismet isn’t published.
Can you charter Kismet?
Yes. Her central agency for charter is Cecil Wright (Boat International, May 2024), and she is listed with published rates on YachtCharterFleet and CharterIndex. In August 2026 she offered West Mediterranean dates from 24 August to 30 September (YachtCharterFleet). Bookings go through a charter broker; charter.ly is a review site and does not take bookings.
Where is Kismet superyacht now?
We don’t publish positions. Check a public AIS tracker such as VesselFinder or MarineTraffic. Several vessels share the name, so match the length (122 m) and build year (2024). Her charter pattern is the western Mediterranean in summer (CharterIndex) and the Caribbean in winter, on request (CharterWorld, May 2024).
How many guests can Kismet accommodate?
Twelve charter guests. YachtCharterFleet lists 8 cabins (plus 3 staff cabins) and a crew of 36; Boat International gives up to 9 cabins and a crew of 40.
How much is the yacht Kismet worth?
Lürssen has not published a price, and no valuation has appeared from the shipyard, a classification society or a major yachting publication. The $360 million figure that circulates online comes from catalogue sites such as SuperyachtFan and is an unconfirmed estimate. What is published is the charter rate: €3,000,000 per week plus expenses (YachtCharterFleet).
What is the history of the Kismet yacht?
She was built by Lürssen as Project Jag and reported delivered on 7 May 2024 after sea trials off Kiel (Boat International). She was shown at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show in September, billed as her global debut (YachtCharterFleet). An earlier, smaller 95.2 m Lürssen named Kismet now sails as Whisper; this page is about the 122 m yacht (Boat International).
